Call-up Limitations

All the systems on the National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) are given Call-up Limitation based on its Evaluated Price compared to its competitors Evaluated Price.

IT Pro site generates these Call-up Limitations automatically and are posted for each category.

Evaluated Price is the weighted average of a system's price, hardware features and, if applicable, battery life. The devices’ relative score reflects value-added features that could not be part of the minimum, mandatory specifications. The related benefits being credited include: features that help mitigate of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO); elevated security features; environmental stewardship; performance enhancements; portability (mobile devices); battery rundown (mobile devices); connectivity.

Identified User Call-up Limitations

Identified Users are permitted to place Call-ups for specific systems up to the value shown in this column in each category. This Call-up value, including taxes and any applicable environmental handling fees (ehf), cannot exceed the Call-up Limitation.

Shared Services Canada (SSC) Call-up Limitations / Elevated Call-ups

SSC, on behalf of a client, is permitted to place Call-ups for specific systems up to the value shown in this column in each category. This Call-up value, including taxes and any environmental handling fees (ehf), cannot exceed the Call-up Limitation.

Call-ups placed by SSC are subject to a minimum discount as described by the table below.

Note: Use of these higher Call-up Limitations is optional for the National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) Offerors.

When a volume discount applies to a Call-up, the discount is applied to the current NMSO prices (meaning the NMSO price published on IT Pro on the day of the Call-up). Any environmental handling fees (ehf) and Goods and Services Tax (GST)/Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) must be added after the discount has been applied.

Requests for Volume Discounts

If the requirement value is more than the SSC Call-up Limitations or the requirement is not necessarily for a specific system and over the Identified User Call-up Limitation, the requirement can be processed by SSC as a Request for Volume Discount (RVD). Discounts achieved through the RVD process will exceed those of the Elevated Call-ups. RVD Contracts also give you the opportunity to purchase additional quantities at a low price for a set period and quantity.

The GST/HST are applied to the current NMSO prices (as published on the Online Ordering System, IT Pro, on the day of the Call-up) AFTER applying any applicable volume discount and applicable provincial disposal surcharges.
